Two New Items!

I created an apron (teen/adult size) using a quilt block. I'm quite pleased with the result.

I also made another plastic bag holder - this one in a birdhouse print.

Kitty Purse!

Here is the latest purse I created! I'm on a purse/tote "kick" lately. I just LOVE to make them from fabric I have on hand. Hopefully you all do, too!

Here's my 2 day tote. Only reason it took 2 days is because I couldn't decide on a lining fabric.

Here's a purse I made and was originally thinking I was making it for myself, but unfortunately, my wallet doesn't fit in it so it's for sale!

Microwave Fudge!

My daughter just made this recipe and oh my....when we cleaned out the bowl (fingers required), it was heavenly!! Have never made fudge in the microwave before so I'll report back as to how it is once it sets. Here's the recipe:

MICROWAVE FUDGE
4 cups powdered sugar (1 lb)
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 TBS vanilla

Combine all ingreients in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. Stir well. Pour into greased 8X8" baking dish. Chill. Cut into squares. Makes about 5 dozen pieces.

Another Tote!

I dug through my stash of fabric yesterday and found this fabric and BEACH BAG just screamed out at me! So, today I went ahead and pulled it all together. I have a bit more of this fabric so may make another one or two.

New tote!

This tote was made from fabric my Aunt Heidi graciously gave to me.
She tells me the butterfly fabric has now made a dress, two purses and the 2 pillowcases I made! Wow - who knew so many things could be made from one fabric!

Winding down the week....

We were anticipating LOTS of snow here yesterday, but were "lucky" enough to only see just over an inch! Now the sun is shining again and no snow predicted in the near future.

I'm tossing around some ideas for new items to create/add to my Etsy shop. Will share more once I decide on what I'm in the mood for. If anyone has any special requests or if there is anything you'd like to see in my shop, let me know!
